This Fall, The Alameda ArtWorks has invited a local south bay orchestra, Cambrian Symphony, to collaborate with us during our November Open Studios event.

The Cambrian Symphony is a non profit, community orchestra made up of volunteer musicians dedicated to supporting and mentoring young musicians by engaging students in performance side by side with professionals. Through this unique collaboration, Cambrian Symphony strives to share the joy of creating music not only with its audiences but with the next generation of musicians. The symphony showcases the works of new composers, is devoted to the connection with arts education and is committed to cultivating the value, appreciation and understanding of the orchestra.

At past Open Studios, visitors have enjoyed musical interludes by students from our artists community, also members of the Cambrian Symphony. This year, additional musicians from the Cambrian Symphony will work with our AAW planning team to present a program of musical offerings throughout our two day event. In exchange for their generous participation, The Alameda ArtWorks will promote the Cambrian Symphony’s upcoming musical season through our networking outreach, informational handouts at our studios and announcements on our website. With our two vibrant, creative groups working closely together, sparks will fly and spirits will soar, so we hope you will join us for a delightful experience..

With the exception of their very lively Nutcracker performance presented in collaboration with the San Jose Dance Theater, the Cambrian Symphony concerts are presented free of charge to the public with a suggested donation for those who can offer further support. Please make reservations to attend their upcoming season of concerts. We guarantee you are in for a treat.
