"My journey into floral painting began as a tribute to Phyllis Semple, whose love of flowers deeply influenced me. Phyllis’ encouragement and inspiration from Georgia O’Keeffe’s independent spirit further fueled my passion. While sharing O’Keeffe’s subject matter, my approach emphasizes emotional narratives and intricate detailing. My work primarily conveys positive thoughts because the world is full of negativity. Using a mixture of colors, I am attracted to the contrast of shadow and the transparency that the light provides. I find balance and harmony in my art and daily life by painting."
