"Wildlife Artist Nancy Walters has traveled throughout the world studying animals.  She creates her original oil paintings only from her own drawings and photographs. It is her direct observation of animals in their natural environments that gives her a deep connection with her subjects.  Nancy paints realistically in oils, using many traditional old masters techniques. She works to capture in her paintings a habit, a moment, and a look that conveys an animal’s unique character and essential nature.  She hopes that her wildlife art helps people become more connected to the animals in our world and to feel what a great tragedy it would be to lose them to extinction."
